Terms of Service and FAQ’s

Are all my jewelry pieces made to order?

  • Yes!!. Unless noted otherwise (i.e. a yearly website sale section of stock jewelry) each item is handcrafted for you and made to order, some items are tailored to your size like rings so this means the process time of each order will vary slightly.

  • I estimate most orders will be ready for shipping to you in 1 - 2 weeks after your confirmation email from me.  You will be notified again by email with tracking numbers when your jewelry has been shipped to you.

Can I pay with my credit or debit card?

  • Yes you can.  Payments are processed through Paypal which makes your transaction secure and encrypted.  You don't need a Paypal account to make payments just log in as a guest.

Can I cancel my order?

  • Of course you can.  Please contact me by email contact@margaretwalshjewelry.com within the first 24 hours of placing your order and I will refund to you your payment.

Product images and descriptions?

  • I make every effort to ensure that the images displayed are as accurate as possible, but cannot guarantee an exact match to the product being displayed on your screen.  All product information and technical specifications contained are for guidance only, no responsibility can be taken for errors or omissions.

  • Due to the handmade nature of each piece, you should expect slight irregularities, although I do my utmost to replicate accurately each detail in your jewelry.  Precious and semi-precious gemstones are unique and individual by nature so it stands to reason that jewelry incorporating natural gemstones will be that bit more special and will vary slightly from the gemstones displayed for sale, please keep this in mind when purchasing.

Having something handmade is so much more special compared to a piece of jewelry which has been mass produced.

What if my item is damaged?

  • If damage has happened to your jewelry piece as a result of shipping, please email me contact@margaretwalshjewelry.com with photos of damage immediately, along with your order number and I will see what I can do.

  • Unfortunately if your package has become lost in transit I am unable to help and relinquish responsibility, you must contact your postal service for aid.

How do I care for my jewelry?

  • Always keep your jewelry away from household chemicals and cleaning products, avoid contact with hairspray, make-up, creams and body lotions as these can all cause tarnishing on the metals surface.

  • Chlorine when swimming can also cause damage, leaving your jewelry matt and dull.

  • When your jewelry is not being worn, store it in a dry place, I think it is best to keep it in the box it came in.

  • Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight in some gemstones such as Amethyst, Chalcedony and some coloured Onyx can cause their colour to fade slightly, so store carefully in a box when not being worn.

Cleaning

  • To brighten up your silver or gold jewelry, I recommend using warm soapy water and a soft brush (toothbrush is ideal) or you could clean with a fine anti-tarnish silver polishing cloth, available at most jewelers.

  • Gemstones are cleaned in the same way, I find a soft soapy brush works wonders between prongs and gets your gemstones gleaming again.
